Schedule

(DOLCH)

The name of the enigmatic Berlin dark rock band DOLCH is often associated with Dead Can Dance, as they masterfully blend elements of doom and black metal with gothic rock, pop and ambient, making them highly distinctive on the scene.

The dagger in the triangle - "(DOLCH)" - symbolises timeless music for the heart, soul and brain - putting art above any other form of -ism, allowing the listener to find its message for themselves.

The people behind the project are friendly with cats and all other lovely creatures.

Their debut album Feuer (November 2019), the first in a three-part album series called Feuer, Nacht & Tod, was produced by Michael Zech and mastered by V. Santura at Woodshed Studios, and their latest, second album Nacht was released in February 2022, with a tour that includes a stop in Budapest.

THE ANSWER LIES IN THE BLACK VOID

The Answer Lies In The Black Void is the fresh band of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, Bong-Ra and Celestial Season founders Jason Köhnen and Martina Horváth (Thy Catafalque), formed alongside the transcendental music project MANSUR.

Through their passion for doom metal, Horváth and Köhnen have joined forces to present the genre in all its beautiful darkness and from every possible angle - creating their own atmospheric avant-doom blend.

After their extremely well-received debut album "Forlorn", The Answer Lies In The Black Void will return with their second album in autumn 2023. Inspired by Carl Jung's "shadow work", "Thou Shalt" will be released on Burning World Records, with the full material being performed live for the first time at A38.

ISOLATIONSGEMEINSCHAFT

I.G. is a duo that tries to bring the German Neue Deutsche Welle scene of the early 80's to today's hyper reality in a fresh form. The music veers more towards OMD than the razor-sharp electronic sound of D.A.F. This kind of understated new wave pomp (a contradiction) requires very strong songs to break through the veil of indifference.

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
