NYOS (FIN), Black Particles
The two-piece Finnish avant-garde noise-rock band combines a mutant funk-punk sound with the compositional complexity of post-rock.
NYOS was formed when guitarist Tom Brooke left his hometown of Leeds, UK in 2012 and moved to Finland. Soon after, Tom met drummer Tuomas Kainulainen, a well-known figure in the local punk scene and ready to start something new. Their relationship quickly deepened, and the duo created their distinctive, restless blend of math-rock, free jazz and harsh noise.

The band hasn't stopped since: they've released six full-length albums and dozens of singles, and played hundreds of gigs worldwide with international contemporaries such as Zeal & Ardor, Esben & The Witch and The Comet Is Coming. With nearly a decade of relentless creativity, crushing sawtooth distortion, delicate cymbal work and a powerful use of space - to spectacular effect in the immediacy and intimacy of their live shows - they come on board.
With a black particle geometric precision that makes scalability impossible, the compulsive but not self-serving black particles, post-mindedly posed only as post-mind, excite a bitter amplitude that sweeps everyone away with uncompromising impatience and elemental force like a lightning storm, like the uncontrolled Tisza in a snowmelt.

A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
