Book Fair in the Hadik
Dear Readers!📚
📖We are organising a new book fair!
📕We will be featuring five micro-publishers (Polár Könyvek, CsiriMojó, Leányvállalat, Sonora, Ø Kiadó) who put their hearts and souls into the work of acquiring, translating, publishing and recommending the best books to you. It's no secret that we read and love their books and it's no secret that we want to support them. So we'd love to see as many of you as possible, meet the books, the people behind them, have a coffee, a cake and leave with the best books!🤗Go ahead, we're waiting for you!
📚But that's not all, on 26 November the whole day will be about reading, reading nourishment, books at the Hadik House. While there will be a book fair in the Hadik and Szatyor Galleries, there will be a book exchange in Szatyor.
🔖The exchange will be preceded by a five-week collection campaign, with several restaurants, community and cultural spaces and schools in the 11th district joining in.
✍🏻Ha you're happy to accumulate books, maybe you have a duplicate volume on your bookshelf, or you want to make your favourite reading material a lasting experience for others, then drop off your stale or redundant books at one of our collection points. Collection partners:

Hadik Café
The Hadik Café was at its peak in the 1910s, when Karinthy, Kosztolányi, Déry, Móricz and Aranka Bőhm regarded the place as their living room. In 2010, the Hadik House was revived in its original splendour with two catering and cultural spaces: the classic Hadik Café, designed to honour the spirit of its great predecessors, and the Szatyor Bar and Gallery, which reinterprets the bohemian world of the turn of the century in a more progressive, contemporary atmosphere. Both places have a strong and quality gastronomy and a cultural profile. The Hadik and the Satoyor are the permanent home of literary evenings, art talks, musical performances and exhibitions, which we hope will revive the long sought-after café and cultural life of which the Hadik was one of the strongest bastions in its heyday.
