The Poster Boy album release, Cloudsurfers (NL)
The idea of The Poster Boy was born in the summer of 2011, during a beer in the Budapest music scene, when three key figures Imre Poniklo (Amber Smith), **Mayer R. Noel (The Walrus) and American Michael Zwecker **(ex-Kispál and the Borz) were playing around with the idea of a joint project, but they probably never imagined that they would release a major album in just a few months.

THE POSTER BOY
In July 2012, the band released their first physical release, Melody, on two foreign labels, Firestation Records in Berlin and Bell Boy Productions in Barcelona. Their second album, "Bonjour, C'est Pop Deux", won a Fonogram award in early 2014,
The third album, "On the Count of Three", was released in 2017.
The fourth album, "Hooks", released on 22 September, has been in the works since 2021. The album features 8 songs, which date back to "Melody" in their brevity and hit-ness. On this album, the band explores classic themes: awakening and love, pain and loss, beauty and joy. It sums up the years the band and all of us have lived through the shared trauma of COVID's anguish and closure.
CLOUDSURFERS
Cloudsurfers are an energetic Dutch garage punk band from Nijmegen. Following the release of their debut album Don't Know What Hit Me in 2021, Cloudsurfers played over 50 shows in 2022, including major festivals such as Paaspop, Vestrock and Zwarte Cross. In the meantime, they recorded their second album, Subhuman Essence.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
