Paul Pauline Chaplin and Pauline Chaplin. A monotonous job on the assembly line lands him in a madhouse, and he goes on a tear-jerking adventure through the pits of modern-day hell.
Chaplin's film is a satirical - yet emotional - vision of the mechanisation of everyday life. Although the talkies existed in 1936 and this is the first film in which Chaplin's voice was heard in song, experts have called it "the last great silent comedy". The sound technique reflects Chaplin's resistance to change (i.e. the talkies), and this film could be seen as a farewell to a great era.
And it is also perhaps Charlie Chaplin's most popular film.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
