William Foster (Michael Douglas), an ordinary officer, finds himself waiting in a seemingly hopeless traffic jamming. He leaves his car behind and goes home on foot. Her daughter is on her birthday, so she’s coming home at such an important time. The trouble only begins when on the way home many people get in his way, and the obstacles are responded by the desperate male aggression. Soon, he escapes with the police, and only Detective Prendergast (Robert Duvall) knows what might be behind the runaway.
