kisbetűs ünnepnapok, Hűvös
It has long been known, and supported by thousands of people, that the lowercase holidays are one of the bands of all time, and so they have finally made the obvious decision: in January, they will play ONE OF THE ONLY CONCERTS OF ALL TIME in the belly of the A38, and in this jovial gesture, they will allow 2024 to get underway. You're welcome. They're joined by the Hűvös ensemble from Szeged, just to avoid having to organise "the other concert of all time".
Schedule
In 2018, three classmates from Újpest got together to play orchestral music, and since then they have expanded to four and have been exploring more and more playing fields. Their music, which is mainly based on the domestic alternative tradition, is influenced by the freedom of the 60s and 70s Beat era, the charismatic stage presence of big rock bands, the subtlety and complexity of jazz and Latin, but also the vulnerability of the 2020s.
Cool is an alternative pop/rock band from the mystical south of the country. Their music combines elements of bedroom pop with the guitar-centricity of British rock. The band formed in the summer of 2020 and have since been shortlisted in the top 16 artists of the Kikeltető and NKA Start-up Performers Grants. A lyrical and musical world rich in self-reflection characterises the songs of Cool.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
