Art workshop for adults The mysteries of abstraction
Taking advantage of the National Gallery's wonderful collection, each session will begin with an examination of a work by one of the great predecessors, before we get creative ourselves in the creative workshop.
The sessions will be led by artist Alexandra Hegedűs.

Whether geometric or expressive, the thousand faces of abstract painting are unforgettable! In December, we'll learn about some of them, and then try out a few of the techniques we've learned from the artists themselves. We'll take some of the control out of the process and enjoy the magic of a random mix of more and more beautiful acrylic colours. You can even create last-minute Christmas presents!

Hungarian National Gallery
The Hungarian National Gallery is the largest public collection documenting and presenting fine art in Hungary. The permanent exhibitions of the museum, located in the Buda Castle Palace complex, showcase the most important works of Hungarian art, including masterpieces by Master MS, Pál Szinyei Merse, Mihály Munkácsy, József Rippl-Rónai and Dóra Maurer.
