Schedule

Éva Csepregi will give a lifetime achievement concert on 6 January 2024 at the Papp László Budapest Sport Arena. The popular singer invites a number of guests to her evening, including the stars of Neoton Família.

"I have performed several times in the Sportarena with Neoton, but this will be my first solo concert in a big arena. I played with the band in 1998 in the Budapest Sports Hall and in 2005 in the Arena, the last time with Família. Since then, we have been working under the name of Neoton Família's Stars and we have been to the Arena five times, the last time last year," recalls Éva, who has been planning a large-scale solo concert for a long time and now, in time for her upcoming birthday, the time has come.

In her time with Neoton Família and later, she has released several solo albums both at home and abroad, worked with Bob Heatlie, Adam Végvári and many other prominent songwriters. He has performed in more than 50 countries, including prestigious events such as the Yamaha International Song Festival, which was won with Neoton in 1983, and the opening ceremony of the 1988 Seoul Olympics, where he and László Mándoki performed the official song of the event, Korea.

"For the big-arched Life's Work Concert, I would like to sing things I don't or very rarely sing, while of course performing the unmissable hits like Don Quixote, Santa Maria, It's Summer, Tomorrow Till Dawn or Over 220. I'd like to tell the audience a few things, while also showing archival photos in the background," he added.

The concert, scheduled to last two and a half hours, will consist of three thematic sections, with the Neoton Família Stars performing on stage with Eva in a separate block. The singer will also be accompanied by a band of well-known musicians, led by her son, drummer-singer David Heatlie, who will be on stage throughout the show, as he has been a regular member of the Neoton Family Stars for many years. Guest performances will also be given by Andrea Szulák and Erika Náray, the orchestrations will be made by Balázs Deseő and the concert will be directed by Márk Radnai.
