Bohemian Betyars Betyárvilág
The Bohemian Betyars have been one of the most popular Hungarian bands for quite some time, and they have even achieved international success with their energetic, electrifying concerts. Their style, also known as speed-folk or freak-punk, has a punky swing, ska-esque escapism, bittersweet emotions, Balkan and gypsy turbo-folk, but now they are preparing for a concert like no other. The boys from Borsod reach back to the authentic roots of their music and take to the stage with reimagined instrumentation, extra instruments and a guest appearance by Parno Graszt.

Since 2009, the Bohemian Betyars have been performing with a direct, instinctive, life-giving vibe that liberates the audience, gets you in the gut and makes every foot dance. They are an authentic representation of the bittersweet domestic way of being, but perhaps what makes the band most special is that this way of being is authentically emanating from their music, as they used to travel Europe like real street bums in the early days. Today, they are regulars at clubs and festivals at home and in Europe, but they have also toured China, South Korea, Japan and the United States. But now they are preparing for something different, to present an unconventional show and reimagined, rearranged songs through their inexhaustible repertoire of their core influences, Hungarian folk music, traditional gypsy music and Balkan folk, rich in wind instruments. The six-piece orchestra will be joined during the concert by additional wind players, string players and members of the Parno Grasz band. They'll tour every corner of the Betyar world - like we've never heard them do before!
