Swamp Creatures are a Budapest-based young band, the members of which refer to their style of music as psychedelic swamp rock. Their music evokes the classic motifs of kraut and desert rock, combined with elements of folk and electronic music. The majority of their songs are set in the swamps of an alternative universe, with sultry mixes of lyrics and graphics telling the sinking stories to an inter-dimensional subject.

After two singles - Insights (2018) and Sequence (2021) - the band's first full-length album was released in April 2023, entitled Lidércfényes, produced by András Weil. The band has been actively touring since its inception, and has played in many venues in Budapest and in the countryside, including Kuplung, Dürer Kert, Toldi, A38, and many others. In addition to club concerts, they are also regular performers at smaller festivals, and in recent years they have performed at the Kolorádó festival, Fekete Zaj and the Valley of Arts.
In 2017, the year they were founded, they reached the finals of the Keret blog's talent competition Kikeltető, and then took part in the NKA's Voice Occupation Start-up Performers programme. They opened for the Raging Death Spies at their anniversary concert, and played at record launches for DLRM and Third Planet, among others.
Grand Sun
As a consequence of the huge creative explosion on the West Coast of Europe, Grand Sun emerged in Lisbon in 2016, a melting pot of a new wave of indie rock projects both in line with international contemporary production and rooted in their own Portuguese roots. This artistic synergy led the band to the debut of "Apolo" (Single, Xita Records, 2016) and The Plastic People of the Universe (EP, Aunt Sally Records, 2018) - psychedelic pop records that reflect the band's early influences. As a result of these, and in promotion, they played live around Southern Europe during an international tour with bands such as Triptides (USA), Naked Giants (USA) and Hickeys (Spain). The band has produced press clippings, interviews and press releases, and has become increasingly prominent in the national press (Publico P3, Antena 3, SBSR FM, Radar FM).
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
