Korinda band
The Korinda Orchestra's goal is to authentically interpret the traditional folk music of the ethnic groups living in the eastern parts of the Hungarian-speaking world. Its founders learned the basics of their musical knowledge from the members of the Save As Ensemble in Szeged and from their Moldavian flute master András Hodorog, which played a decisive role in creating the unique sound of Korinda.

Schedule
They strive for simplicity and simplicity in the music they perform, both from original recordings and from personal experience with the musicians, while constantly seeking their own interpretations and unique ways of performing. In addition to their Szeged roots, the Folk Music Department of the Academy of Music is an important stage in the musical careers of most of the members of the orchestra, where they have learned from emblematic figures of the dance house movement and gained valuable professional knowledge.
Although Moldavian Csángó folk music is the main focus of the orchestra, Hungarian and Romanian folk music from Gyimes, Barcovina, Szeklerland and Bukovina is also part of their repertoire. They regularly visit Moldavia and Transylvania to collect, as they consider it important to establish and maintain personal contacts with the elderly musicians still alive.
