Is everything we see waiting to be decoded, identified, categorised? Or is it that something just exists by itself? That something does not acquire a right to exist because it carries within itself the possibility of judgement or opinion? We are interested in all this and we put ourselves to the test: we follow our instincts and interests in the work process. We are not afraid to venture into unfamiliar territory. We avoid exclusivity, give credence and space to curiosity and naivety.
The AHA Collective is a group of six artists, formed in 2021. We have known each other and worked together in the profession for a long time. Four of us have been socializing in the same professional environment since our senior year at the Győr School of Dance and Fine Arts: Márton Gláser, Imola Kacsó, Vivien Piti, Barbara Eyassu-Vincze. We had the opportunity to create together during several creation processes led by others. We are currently working on creating our own profile. In our work we strive to seek new perspectives on contemporary dance, performing arts, creation or the issues we are researching. Throughout the creative process, we intuitively take the chosen theme as an entity in its own right, watching it unfold, and evolve it into its final form.
