Schedule

Jérôme Bel immerses himself in his own biography and links his biases, his reasons for his choices, his doubts and his goals to his works.

In the role of Jérôme Bel, Dorottya Udvaros, who is, among many other things, a committed activist for Greenpeace, will perform at Trafo. Tamás Ördög, known from Papa Dollar's Children, is the local director of the play.

Jérôme Bel will sequence his earlier works - many of which are seminal in contemporary dance history, and many of which have been performed at Trafó - through archive footage, and explain his work.

However, in order to avoid the environmental burden of travelling a company, the piece can be performed anywhere in the world, in any language, with the help of a local performer and a local team who will be given the protocol and all the necessary information. The eco-conscious French choreographer is the brainchild and key figure behind the Sustainable theater? project, an international collaboration linking 12 major European cultural institutions.
