Bogrács Bangers — Azta / Gáska / Pimasz / Obadu

Schedule
Budapest Bogracs Bangers are a gigantic collective of musicians, cooks, dancers, builders and party engineers coming from Hungary, following the lead of one of our favourite space gypsy pirate, Kjartan code. This 30 people's crew bring instruments, speakers, tools, costumes, pots and pans, and plan on putting together a multi dimensional experience than no one ever experienced before.
Gáska:
The word gașcă means a group, a gang. We've known each other for a long time, and it was the love of playing music together and friendship that brought us together. We would like to learn about our folk music traditions, to experience them and to give them back in an authentic way.
Julia Lerner - violin
Kinga Korsós - coboz, vocals
Ilona Molnár - cobos, vocals
Balázs Vellner - drums
Azta! orchestra:
Our orchestra takes the listener to the world of Transylvanian and Gypsy melodies, with the help of stringed instruments and vocals. The music will surely include legends, singsongs, saporas, hajnalik, korcsos, and chingerals. We hope no one leaves their dancing shoes at home!
Playing:
Lulu de la Rue - violin
Ábel Brassai - viola
András Turi Jr. - viola
Bence Budai - double bass
Obadu:
Obadu's music features elements of Hungarian and Romanian folk music in a novel electronic arrangement. The kaval, the shepherd's pipe and the flute play a prominent role in his music, which he combines with drum rhythms found in hip-hop and Latin American music. His genre-diverse yet unique style is evident in each of his tracks.
Entry fee: 2000 HUF (only at door)
