Making abstract textile images
I would like to invite you to a workshop where graphic design, fine art, patchwork and different stitching techniques meet!
In the workshop we will explore and experiment with abstract shapes and imagery, colour and pattern combinations, and then create our own textile images from fabric scraps.

The result will be a really unique and personal textile picture that you can use in many different ways (e.g. wall art, placemats, book covers) or even as a special gift item that you can make yourself. And you can use the sewing techniques you learn in the workshop in other ways later on (patchwork quilting, garment repair, clothing decoration).
The workshop does not require any prior knowledge or training, but as we will be sewing by hand, it's a good idea to have tried it before. As I have a background as a teacher, designer and fashion designer, I will give you all the help you need during the workshop. I'll provide all the tools you need and we'll go step by step, together, in creating images and applying patches/shapes.
So bring yourself and some creative energy, sewing together is really relaxing and, based on previous workshops, a great social activity too!
