Via Negativa - Back to the game

Schedule

The Via Negativa, the attitude that play is an inalienable nature of man, and that basically every human being is capable of existing as a community, of creative connection with others, is only suppressed.

In exercises inspired by Polish theatre masters, we also remove the underlying psychological resistance by exploring and unblocking our physical blocks to create 'spontaneous' improvisations of space by aligning our movement, sound and imagination.

The aim of the workshop is to explore this experience of community that emerges from 'spontaneity', through which we can rediscover the roots of human connection, and to explore 'spontaneity' itself, which can put our relationship with nature and each other on a new footing.

We will experience

- recovering, shaping and using children's capacity to play

- the inseparability of sound, movement and imagination

- the whole of our own vocabulary

- a dramatic improvement in responsiveness and team play

- increased attention and concentration.

- the inevitability and a completely different quality of connecting with others.

What Zygmunt Molik, one of the twentieth century's most important acting coaches, called, without any mysticism, 'life with a big L'.
