Jazz talent fare: Claudia Raquel Quintet

Claudia started her musical studies on the piano and in 2015 she was a successful contestant on the television talent show Hungary's Got Talent. In 2017, she won third place at the Sanremo Junior International Festival. This year, she was accepted to study jazz at the Bartók Konzi. In 2020, he was a finalist in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition, and in 2021 he won third prize in the Jazz Combo Competition with the Vilmos Oláh Quintet. He is currently a first-year student at the Liszt Academy of Music, where he studies with Ágnes Lakatos and Orsolya Urbán. Vilmos Oláh has been playing classical guitar for eleven years, during which time he has achieved excellent results in more than ten national and international guitar competitions. In 2021 he was accepted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he is taught by guitarist József Eötvös. In the same year, he won the silver medal and special prize in the Virtuózok V4+ talent show. During the competition, he received a concert invitation from the world-famous opera legend Placido Domingo, who was also on the jury. A musician from a dynasty of musicians, János Egri Jr., winner of the Junior Prima Award, has appeared at the Jazz Showcase several times: first as a singer and then as a pianist in 2023, when he won four special prizes with his own trio. Géza Jónás and Tamás Fazekas are also regulars at the Jazz Showcase, where they are among the up-and-coming ensembles.
