DakhaBrakha
The Ukrainian world music quartet DakhaBrakha will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024. Founded in 2004 at the Dakh theatre in Kiev, the group has become a symbol of the new Ukraine - free, brave and independent. In 20 years, "DakhaBrakha", whose sound combines the authenticity of Ukrainian songs with the driving rhythm of various instruments (from percussion to cello), has come a long way, conquering major venues around the world - Glastonbury, Sziget, Pogoda, GlobalFEST and dozens of others - from Mexico to South Korea.

The band is now celebrating its 20th anniversary with a major tour! The powerful voice of the world's most famous Ukrainian orchestra, now an ambassador for a country that is heroically resisting Russian aggression, will be heard in more than 20 cities across Europe.
Born out of theatrical energies, "DakhaBrakha" makes their concerts a powerful performance, combining the spectacle and holistic dramaturgy of theatre, the uniqueness of folk songs and the diversity of musical genres, from hip-hop to blues.
The artists describe the band's style as "etnochaos", which emphasises the combination of different ethnic components in the music. The band uses Ukrainian, Crimean Tatar and other folk songs recorded during expeditions by "DakhaBrakha" and other folklorists.
Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
