Nyitott Stúdió - Boglárka Börcsök
Once a month, on Mondays, Trafó opens its Liliom Street dance studio to all those who love to move. Each time, a different choreographer or dancer shares some of his or her favourite exercises. The goal is not necessarily to learn a choreography, but to move together, to recharge, to learn from each other, together.

The April event will be led by Boglárka Börcsök, Lábán award-winning choreographer and performer. Boglárka has worked as a performer with choreographers such as Tino Sehgal and Eszter Salamon. Her documentary film The Art of Movement with Andreas Bolmel was screened at BIDF, among others, and her performance The Evocation of the Age was included in the Aerowaves23 edition and toured Europe with her.

Boglárka Böcsök's thoughts on the workshop:
"Everyone is welcome to practice "Fantastic Failures". When the society and politics around us are constantly focused on making money, investing in wars and arms industry, concentrating on sports and winning in competition, as long as we are forced to prevail at all costs or survive under constant economic pressure within the field of dance and performing arts, we must give space and time to total failure from time to time. Failure can be an exercise in rejecting familiar and learned movement patterns, and it can be able to open our minds and senses to new and unexpected experiences.
When our politicians fail to admit that they fail regularly, we can initiate this practice ourselves, to fail elegantly, deliberately, miserably, stylishly or in order to create creative, collaborative and surprising ways of being in the world together. To take pleasure in the fact that we can fuck anything up at any time."
