The Dub Pistols, led by Barry Ashworth and Jason O'Bryan, formed in London in 1996. The two producers (the former a vocalist, the latter a bassist) have come a long way from the initial singles to the mature "Six Million Ways To Live" LP, which has in turn made them very popular. It's hard to pin them down, but their main stylistic traits are dub, hip-hop mixed with some ska, punk, techno and breaks. They have remixed with names like Moby, Crystal Method, Limp Bizkit, Bono, Korn & Ian Brown. Their song "One" with Busta Rhymes was released as the soundtrack to Blade II and "Molotov" was released as the soundtrack to Alfonso Guarcón: Y Tu Mama Tambien. The two producers also tested their mettle in live productions, finding collaborators in English hip-hopper Rodney P, singer Terry Hall, American T.K. Lawrence, trombonist Tim Hutton and scratcher DJ Styx. Other featuring artists include Lynval Golding (The Specials) ,Horace Andy and MC SirReal.

Dub Pistols' all-encompassing dance bomb has exploded on countless dancefloors. The electronic eclectic geniuses of Basement Jaxx are deadly sure-footed in all genres of dance music, as they have proven in live performances in Hungary

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
