The Csakoda Group was founded in 2011 by Dominika Trapp and Márton Dés. Between 2011 and 2013, as part of the traveling project titled “Art on the Move in Hungary,” they organized exhibitions in collaboration with nearly 20 young painters and intermedia artists at community centers in rural towns, sometimes in partnership with local cultural organizers and artists.

The primary goal of the exhibition series was to make their works accessible to people living outside Budapest who are excluded from the discourse on contemporary art. Over the years, the initiative has evolved from a traveling exhibition into a research-based, site-specific series of projects. The project won the Katalizátor Award in 2016.
