Roy Walker (Lee Pace) works as a stuntman in 1920s Los Angeles. He has an accident during a dangerous stunt, so he lives bedridden. At the hospital where he is being treated, he meets a young girl, Alexandria (Catinca Untaru).
Roy entertains the little girl with fabulous stories about various heroes, bandits and battles. Due to the man's injury and the girl's vivid imagination, the boundaries between reality and fiction slowly but surely begin to blur as they become more and more involved in the stories.
However, the man's goal is more stark: with his fairy tales, he wants to gain the little girl's trust in order to lift some morphine from the hospital's warehouse, so that he can get rid of his pain forever.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
