j(A)zz! | menü.24 (AT)

The Vienna-based avant-garde quartet, menü.24, belongs to a generation that no longer defines its work in terms of genres: their music can be influenced by anything and everything in the world around us, and so a wide range of elements – from jazz through noise music to grunge – find their way into their vibrant, relentless compositions. The hymnal melodies, distorted basslines and unpredictable rhythms sometimes dissolve into fragile atmospheres, whilst at other times they escalate into a cacophony of sound. Part of the artistic vision created jointly by the four musicians is the orchestral sound that spans a wide dynamic range, utilising both acoustic and electronic elements.
