SIROKKÓ: SEASON FINALE & FUNDRAISER
The season is slowly coming to an end, which means it’s time to celebrate the past nine months of Sirokkó together.

Schedule
longside our current productions — People of the Puszta, Hysteria’s Message Book, and our newest piece, Eastern BloKk — we have been able to realize countless events, performances, gatherings, and encounters, often only through our own resources or community support.
And we ask you to help set the animal free from its cage, so it can keep creating.
The funds raised will help us continue and expand not only our theatre productions, but also our performance nights, music programs, and happenings — both in quantity and quality. Your support will also contribute to the creation of our upcoming production, AnimalInside!
To celebrate, we’re taking over the entire Palazzo Permanens (formerly the Fészek Artists’ Club) and bringing together a wide range of Budapest’s emerging and not-so-emerging artists who have chosen to stand with our cause.
Throughout the evening, we’ll dissect and unleash from every possible angle the source material of our upcoming piece: László Krasznahorkai’s essay AnimalInside.
We’re preparing a number of events inspired by these ideas:
-An exhibition by Anka Arnóth
-“He Looked With Full Force” (Proust–Dostoevsky–Krasznahorkai), a conversation between literary critic Sándor Bazsányi and actor Károly Hajduk
-A Shibari performance by Júlia Gombkötő and Simon Regős
-Spatial installations by Vitéz Egri, Berta Ács, Réka Pável, and Anka Arnóth
-Our non-musical programs are supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, within the framework of the “At One Table – Participatory Conversations for the Advancement of Dialogue” project, organized by the Foundation for Conscious Youth.
We would also like to thank everyone who has contributed to our growth over the past months, and for proving that even within the confines of a cage, an animal can be born.
I am trapped between two moments and waiting. Helplessly waiting for this constriction to end.
The all-destroying animal lives inside; I am outside, separated from it only by a set of bars. Who confines whom within this space — me or it? Do we truly know where inside ends and outside begins? If the bars disappeared, would there be any difference between us at all?
