Margit Szabó
He was born in 1998 in Horgoš, Vojvodina. His pictures are family relics, nostalgic moods from the memories of the albums pulled out of Mom’s shelf. From the shaping of the clothes, the hair, the wallpaper pattern that appears on the wall, we can think of the simple everyday life of the 70s, which we are almost over-romantizing by seeing the basic colors of the printing CMYK. Memories of a simple, poor peasant world shaped into a youthful, colorful, rich reality. Loose brush treatments, coarser pitt and oil chalk gestures, retro color scheme and sharp light-shadow contrast due to flash.
Franciska Szabó
He was born in 2001 in Horgoš, Vojvodina. Central to his paintings is the dialogue between space and community. The characters have no personality, the street scenes are natural and not exaggerated. Cimó creates a harmonious visual world: it contrasts the technical solutions of the rubbed, pencil with a precise elaboration that soothes the eyes and soul. There’s no buzz, the scenes are as natural as if they were the cubes of an organized movie.
The brother and sister work has a common nostalgic tone, a presentation of scenes and social moments in which we can all find a familiar, home-giving feeling somewhere.
