City dog fest

2026-05-10T08:00:00.000Z

At the downtown area’s largest free dog-friendly event, we’re raising awareness about responsible dog ownership and adopting shelter animals through family-friendly activities.

Of course, we also have great activities in store for those who don’t yet have a pet.

About the programs:

Dog-owner photo sessions, veterinary consultations, physical therapy demonstrations, dog behavior therapy advice, microchip scanning and registration, and many other events promoting responsible dog ownership await those interested.

As part of Dog Walking Day, with the help of our volunteers and popular, well-known figures, you can experience what it’s like to be the owner of a sweet dog.

Starting in the afternoon, you’ll also be able to watch dog demonstrations.

In parallel with the event, the Belvárosi Szabadidő Sportegyesület is holding a sports day with all-day programs, so the two events complement each other perfectly.

We’ll be back soon with the details!

The Vigyél Haza Foundation warmly welcomes families who have adopted orphaned dogs through our program in recent years, as well as animal lovers who have chosen their pets from Illatos út.

Location

Budapest

The best things to do in Budapest! Several medieval bridges connect the 2 sides of the city that give it its name: Buda and Pest. Cruising along the Danube is a great way to see Budapest in all its glory.
