In code, “sierra delta” means: a poorly planned mission. And this is true in every respect of Deli Soma’s (Middlemist Red) studio project. The songs were in the works for five years, with countless rounds of reworking and redesigning, but the project never lost its “mission” feel. The somewhat bumpy preparations were followed by a fairly strong start. In December 2024, thanks to a sudden opportunity, the project evolved into a band, and the four-member group (Sára Háló, Geri Háló, Ábel Ürögdi, Deli Soma) made its debut as the opening act for Analog Balaton’s two sold-out end-of-year concerts at the Hungarian House of Music. So, fittingly, they’re returning to where it all began this summer to entertain their audience—and fans of laid-back groove, synth, and R&B—with a full day of free events: an afternoon picnic on Nagyrét, an evening concert, and a DJ set on the Open-Air Stage.
