We Love Budapest Piknik 2026
On May 1st, we’re hosting the very first We Love Budapest Picnic in City Park — and it’s a special occasion: We Love Budapest is turning 15 this year.
Schedule
This will be a full-day, urban-style celebration where the pulse of the city moves under the trees. Expect a daytime picnic, Rhythm & Flow yoga and guided meditation, roundtable discussions inspired by The Great Budapest District Guide — a unique publication exploring the fascinating stories and hidden gems of Budapest’s districts — plus food pop-ups, a design market, and creative craft workshops. In the evening, the day winds down with an acoustic concert and a DJ set.
We’ll showcase the soul of Budapest: local creators, unique and high-quality products, and the ideas and stories that truly bring the city to life.

Városliget
Városliget is a unique urban park with a 200-year-old tradition, including museums and exhibition spaces, a zoo, a bathing complex, an ice rink, a circus and a wide range of recreational facilities. Thanks to the Liget Project, park and it’s institutions is being renovated in a way that respects traditions and meets 21st century standards, whether it is the reconstruction of the imposing, almost 120-year-old Museum of Fine Arts, or the construction of new buildings such as the multiple award winner House of Music Hungary designed by the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, opened in early 2022, or the impressive new Museum of Ethnography also opened in 2022, or the New National Gallery.
