Fajkusz Band
The Fajkusz Band has been playing together in Sopron since 2004, and during that time they have held countless concerts and dance parties and have performed in numerous folk dance shows. In 2009, they released an album titled Anno, and last year, to mark their 20th anniversary, they released an album titled “Van még egy huszasom…” (“I’ve Got Another Twenty…”), which summarizes their work to date and offers a glimpse into their repertoire and musical style.
The songs performed at the concert are authentic and adapted folk tunes. The collaborating musicians are our former students, with whom we have worked closely on many projects; they enrich the performances with their musical knowledge and high standards.

Schedule
Since its inception, Zene Háza has considered it its mission to showcase the musical life of rural Hungarian towns. The next venue for the “City in the House” series is Sopron. The festival, which showcases the musical life of Hungary’s most loyal city, will take place in the spirit of the diversity characteristic of the house, organized jointly by Zene Háza and the city of Sopron.
On the festival’s first day, Saturday, the Petőfi Band—the orchestra of the artists at the Petőfi Theater in Sopron—will make its debut, and Sonny, a native of Sopron, will perform with his band, Sonny and His Wild Cows, evoking 1940s and 1950s America with rockabilly and rhythm and blues.
