Ripoff Raskolnikov at Bánya Kert
On July 17, Ripoff Raskolnikov—one of the most distinctive Hungarian figures in the Americana, blues, and folk scenes—will perform at Bánya Kert.
Ripoff Raskolnikov began his career as a street musician at the age of 18, traveled throughout Europe, and over the decades has built his own easily recognizable musical world. In his songs, the traditions of American folklore meet the sincerity of the blues and the personal tone of the singer-songwriter genre. His music tells stories of travel, love, loss, and life’s small joys all at once.
Thanks to her captivating stage presence, subtle humor, and exceptional songwriting sensibility, every concert of hers is a special experience. The Ripoff Raskolnikov Band brings these stories to life with the finest musicians of the Hungarian Americana scene, promising an evening that is both intimate and powerfully elemental.
The evening will be opened by Kustan Adam, one of the most exciting up-and-coming artists of the modern blues-soul generation. In his music, the legacy of the blues and ’60s rock meets contemporary alternative sounds. His original songs are at once raw, sensitive, and energetic, whether performed solo or with a band.
The summer evening, the hills of Salföld, and the unique atmosphere of Bánya Kert provide the perfect backdrop for this concert experience woven from blues, folk, and stories.
