Urban Erotica, which started as a simple exhibition back in 2013, has since evolved into much more: not just an isolated art event, but a social mission. Alongside the exhibition by Gergely Gyuricza, the festival features psychological talks, roundtable discussions, art therapy sessions, light installations, art workshops, theatre performances, literary evenings, and pub quizzes.

Urban Erotica functions as a complex community space, where different art forms—such as painting and theatre—intertwine with education and knowledge-sharing to offer rich experiences for visitors. It is not just an art project, but a community-driven mission aimed at increasing social awareness and sensitivity through the support and recognition of contemporary arts.

🎨 Gyuricza: JOY – Contemporary Pop Art Painting Exhibition
Gergely Gyuricza’s exhibition JOY focuses on affirmation of life, desire, physicality, and the intensity of human presence. The central idea—“Eroticism is the antidote to death”—appears here as an artistic statement in favor of joy, sex-positivity, and vibrant existence.

The paintings, mostly created from memory, are characterized by vivid colors, concentrated human representation, and intentional incompleteness. They radiate both confidence and vulnerability, raising questions about sexual resilience, identity, and inner vitality.
