At Bach Collegium Japan’s first concert in Hungary, the world-renowned ensemble founded in 1990 by Masaaki Suzuki will perform the complete set of Brandenburg Concertos, which were dedicated to Margrave Christian Ludwig and scored for “several instruments”. On this occasion, the performance of these popular and iconic works from the Baroque repertoire will be directed by the excellent musician Masato Suzuki – the founder’s son – who is engaged in impressively wide-ranging activities and enjoys recognition both as a harpsichordist and a conductor.
