Jazz Juniors | JuMa (PL)

Led by saxophonist and composer Maksymilian Wilk, this young Polish quartet is releasing its latest album this year, titled *Between Tides*. The band has performed at numerous European competitions and festivals in recent years and has already released three albums: *JuMa Band* – Live in Oliva captured the immediacy of a live performance; Fuzje Trójmiasta presented a musical world rooted in the artistic identity of Poland’s Tri-City region; and The Chapel – Live in Narol documented their musical explorations shaped by architectural spaces, acoustics, and increasingly open musical forms. Matured by the experience of intensive touring, Between Tides continues on its artistic journey, blending contemporary jazz, collective improvisation, composition using open forms, and the expansive soundscape associated with Scandinavian jazz. JuMa was a finalist in the 2025 Jazz Juniors competition in Kraków.
