A DJ/selector, promoter, event organizer who founded **Lilian Goth Art Prod. **in 2007.
CUVIOUS
During the early to mid-2010s, in the first period of the post-punk and darkwave revival, he was among the first to introduce bands to the wider domestic audience, some of which were barely known or not known at all at the time.
These bands include Lebanon Hanover, She Past Away, The Beauty Of Gemina, Linea Aspera, Minuit Machine, Kaelan Mikla, Ash Code, Boy Harsher, Selofan, Soft Moon, and, for example, the slightly different Ordo Rosarius Equlibrio from those listed. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in promoting Dutch **Clan of Xymox **and in the Hungarian promotion of Italy's The Frozen Autumn.
Before the so-called Russian post-punk trend emerged, he had already been playing music by Slavic-language bands, including post-punk bands such as Kino, Siekiera, Borghesia, Morbidi I Mnoci, Notchnoi Prospect, and Ploho. Under the name 'KONEC FILMA', he has organized 7 successful "Russian post-punk" parties, making him the first in Hungary to thematize an event around this musical trend.
He has also been actively involved in promoting French coldwave, Neue Deutsche Welle, as well as relevant Italian, Greek, and Latin American/Spanish bands for a considerable period. The **'NOCHE TRISTE' **party (with DJ. REVERIE), which specifically focused on this dark music, marked the first attempt in Hungary to provide a platform for these bands.
In his repertoire, the lesser-known specialties of the 80s, the latest releases, and, of course, the foundational bands that pioneered the genres, are all prominent. He was a resident at the alternative night club ZEG-ZUG in Budapest for 4 years, and at 101 KLUB for nearly 3 years, where he curated thematic evenings with different programs and shows.
In 2016, he introduced his 'DARK DISCO' series, spotlighting newer and darker music genres such as synth, minimal wave, and dark techno. His eclectic alternative/underground party* series* 'HEROES (1972-1996)' **successfully ran for years, featuring not exclusively dark scene music, along with DAVID BOWIE memorial evenings.
DARKWAVE, GOTHIC, POST-PUNK, MINIMAL WAVE, COLDWAVE, ELECTRO-PUNK, NDW, EBM, INDUSTRIAL, DEATHROCK, SHOEGAZE, DREAMPOP, NEW WAVE, SYNTHWAVE, SYNTHPOP, FUTURE POP, INDIE, DARK ELECTRO, NEOFOLK, MARTIAL INDUSTRIAL, MEDIEVAL, DARK CABARET, NEO-PSYCHEDELIA, AVANT-GARDE, EXPERIMENTAL, DARK POP, SUBPOP – these are the main genres around which he organizes his events and DJ sets.
**He hosted events in numerous clubs in Budapest and had been invited to others, including **A38, Dürer Kert, Akvárium Klub, RoHAM Bar on Dohány Street, R33 Klub, ShowBarlang, Turbina Kulturális Központ (Turbina Cultural Center), Edith, Aurora, Alcatraz, Riff, Zeg Zug, 101 Klub, S8 Underground Klub, and Fészek Kulturális Központ (Fészek Cultural Center).
LILIAN GOTH ART PROD., a concept he conceived in 2007, has overseen the organization of more than two hundred small and large events, including significant concerts. He brought the Turkish darkwave band She Past Away, now a cult favorite, to Budapest for the first time on two occasions, and orchestrated the debut appearance of the legendary Italian band The Frozen Autumn.
He was also invited as a guest to the FEKETE ZAJ FESZTIVÁL ("BLACK NOISE FESTIVAL") multiple times. In March 2022, at the invitation of ZAJ, he delivered a** 2-hour darkwave DJ set **before the now-cult LEBANON HANOVER at AKVÁRIUM KLUB.
In collaboration with the Black Head Agency, he arranged long video interviews with bands such as** Frontline Assembly**, Covenant, VNV Nation, Clan Of Xymox, and Front 242, among others.
He had the privilege of showcasing his talents three times in Vienna (Kraftwerk After Show, Schattenwelt Festival) and was one of the fortunate few to perform in New York. There, he was invited to perform at an underground radio station and also as a guest selector at a Brooklyn goth club (ARKHAM).
During his performances, he occasionally incorporates literary elements and interludes into his events. For many years, he was the main editor of the Facebook page Mindennapi Kortárs Magyar Vers (Daily Contemporary Hungarian Poetry), which currently has 13,000 followers and has since been inactive.
