We are excited to present the work of Svetlana Fialová, a renowned Slovak artist and the current laureate of the Oskár Čepan Art Award. Fialová's drawing and graphic techniques showcase her exceptional observational talent. A multifaceted artist, she develops unique techniques using pencils, blow markers, threads, wood carving and more.

Fialová's creative world communicates her inner, personal stories, often critiquing the challenges faced by her generation. Her works are imbued with humour and irony, yet also reveal a raw emotional state. She addresses the absurdity of advertisements, TV shows, mass-media images, and the contemporary visual world, critically examining the negative impact of social media and consumer society.
