TECHNO SYMPOSIUM WITH PAULA SANZ – LAYERS OF CONSISTENCY

The first Techno Symposium of the new season begins with Paula Sanz at the centre: her artistic journey, the creative practices that move through it, and consistency as a way of continuing through change.

Originally from Murcia and now based between Milan and Paris, Paula is a DJ, producer, model and co-founder of Dropzi Records. Her work moves across music and fashion, while her sound brings together Detroit roots, hypnotic repetition, groove and a careful passage between darkness and light.

Together, we will explore what it means to remain consistent when an artistic career is never a straight line. How do we move through its highs and lows without losing direction? How do different layers of a multidisciplinary practice influence one another? And how does lived experience gradually become a musical language?

The conversation will also enter Paula’s way of listening and selecting: her personal understanding of genre and subgenre, what makes a track belong inside a set, and how she prepares a musical journey while leaving space for the energy of the room.

The dialogue then opens to Dorota, BELLITTA, Atashi and Bencsama, the artists who will share the ROOTZ booth with Paula two nights later at Toldi. Together they will reflect on the shared responsibility of building one meaningful, deep flow: listening to one another, finding a common direction and passing the musical thread from one artist to the next with intention.

As always, Techno Symposium is a conversation among artists and audience. Questions, different perspectives and personal experiences are part of the evening.
