The workshop is free of charge, but places are limited, so please send an email to [email protected]

Trafó opens its Lily Street dance studio on Mondays, once a month, to all those who love to move. Each time, a different choreographer or dancer shares some of their favourite exercises with the public. The goal is not necessarily to learn a choreography, but to move together, to recharge, to learn from each other, together.

Schedule

The April session will be led by Zsófia Tamara Vadas, Lábán award-winning choreographer and dancer.

Tamara on dance: "I am not interested in dance as a combination of steps, but as a way of connecting; of connecting with something or someone."

And about the Open Studio workshop in May:

"We will explore and experience different qualities of movement, exploring and experiencing a pleasurable or even unusual use of the body. At the same time, we seek to connect fantasy and physicality. We attempt to evoke the wisdom and freedom of the body, both individually and collectively, by visualizing it in the Studio space. Zoom-in zoom-out. The liberating joy of movement for its own sake, with familiar and unfamiliar movements. To see and to be seen. 360 degrees of perceptive attentional focus. Connecting and erupting, letting go and arriving, fantasy and inner world-building, physical boundary-crossing and caressing immersion in the velvety field of "not knowing".

Come as you are."
