GARY HUSBAND & ÁRON TÁLAS FEAT. BEA EGYED

On this special evening, two excellent musicians (drums and piano) will be joined by one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary dance.

Gary Husband is one of those rare musicians whose expressiveness is equally shared as a drummer and as an internationally renowned pianist and keyboard player. He studied classical music, then turned to improvisation, jazz and fusion, but has also spent time in pop, rock, funk and blues. In nearly four decades of music-making, he has worked with some of the most celebrated musicians, including John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Gary Moore, the British pop/funk band Level 42, Billy Cobham, Al Jarreau, Mike Stern, Andy Summers and Steve Hackett, Nguyên Lê. His pianist/keyboardist alter ego adds an extra dimension to his musicality on drums. Since 2007 he has been keyboardist and second drummer for John McLaughlin 4th Dimension.

If there are musical UFOs among us, Áron Tálas is certainly one. In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist performer, he is also a first-class composer who draws inspiration from everywhere. He combines elements of classical music with the unique metrics of today's jazz, or sudden changes of tempo and pulse. The lyrical side of his musical world is also strong, and the richness of his harmonies is sumptuous.

From his main instrument, the piano, he directs his own orchestra, who realise his compositional ideas to a high standard - the Tálas Áron Trio has been present on the national and international music scene for many years. A Junior Prima, Gramophone and Artisjus award winner, Áron Tálas is known for his versatility: he has played drums with Lionel Loueke, Kurt Rosenwinkel, piano with Jorge Rossy, Ben Monder and has been a permanent or occasional member of the Borbély Workshop, the Bacsó Kristóf Triad and many other bands.

Bea Egyed, one of the outstanding talents in contemporary dance, has been working as a dancer and choreographer in the independent sphere for 15 years.
