Redbreast Wilson was an exciting figure on the small but active blues scene, especially because he played a little-known variety of blues, the hypnotically, danceably repetitive North Mississippi hill country blues.In 2019, after two albums, he switched from blues to country.In 2022, he released his first album of this orientation, Tradin' Your Love, and in 2023, he released a single, New Mexico Sun.

On 20 July, he will be accompanied by his band Mad Dog Margaritas on the House of Music's open-air stage, with Tamás Szabó joining him on harmonica as a guest. Tamás is one of Hungary's most colourful personalities, who has not only introduced harmonica playing to the blues, but has also incorporated it into a number of genres other than the instrument, in an attempt to change stereotypes about harmonica playing.
