Venue: VI, Jókai Square

Márton Simon and iamyank have been performing together regularly for six years with their ever-renewing joint evening, a unique fusion of texts, noises, music and presence, coming together in a "planned coincidence". Whether it's a reading with live music or a concert with poems, slam poetry texts with sound illustrations or storytelling underpinnings, is up to you to decide. Schedule

Márton Simon is a poet, translator, slammer. He has been writing on stage for a thousand years and publishing for even longer. His four poetry collections (Songs from the Highlands, Polaroids, Wedding of the Foxes, I Wanted to Talk to You at Night in the Kitchen) have been published by Jelenkor. For the current performances, he will bring texts from his forthcoming fifth volume, currently in preparation, including instant classics such as "Jesus and the dinosaurs" and "How many people die every year in the IKEA anyway?".

The composer and producer iamyank's works are characterised by a combination of a mood of nothingness, a positive melancholy and a musical fabric that is sometimes friendly and sometimes cool. In recent years, he has been exploring the common ground between classical musical traditions and conceptual ambient. Together with Márton Simon, he tries to function as a contrast between himself and predictability by means of bolder, more decisive moments.

In case of rain, the prog will be held at the Eötvös10 Cultural Centre.

Budapest

The best things to do in Budapest! Several medieval bridges connect the 2 sides of the city that give it its name: Buda and Pest. Cruising along the Danube is a great way to see Budapest in all its glory.
