‘Relent’ is Ábris Gryllus’ fourth studio album, a two-piece long-form audio material soon to be released on EXILES.

‘Relent’ is vulnerability in change, a relentless detachment, an assessment of loss, and sacrifice by devotion. Gryllus’ ambient trance project could be interpreted as a 40-minute confession on the synthetic feeling of home found in a Wunder-Baum New Car air freshener at a night drive guided by suicidal Hungarian landscapes.
‘Relent’ is forced empathogenic hugs and hired touches, repeated goodbyes, oxytocin-fueled hair sniffs, nameless chemsex encounters and systematic love bombing DMs: a soul seeking escape from the samsara of endless trauma bonding. The easing certainty of death.
But ‘Relent’ is molly-swollen lips too, extorting an "I miss you" backstage, or becoming a parent of a child. Sometimes it is light pollution absorbed by watery pupils, it’s crying at an airport, dreams and fears overshared with strangers, a face you wish to forget and the tragedy of undying hope.
‘Relent’ is being released on 50 limited edition cassettes with numbered, handprinted covers by Gábor Koós.
