The Children's Orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera House presents a fairy-tale opera by Erzsébet Szőnyi (1924-2019), a legendary figure in Hungarian composition and music education. The title character, the macabre princess, lives her life according to a strict order at the royal court until one day she decides to rebel. The royal father and the courtiers try everything, but they cannot find the real cure.

The largest indoor complex in Hungarian railway history, a system of vast covered spaces unique in Europe, the Northern Railway Maintenance and Engineering Works was built between 1884 and 1886. After years of alterations and renovations, starting from 2020 it is now home to the Hungarian State Opera’s new logistics and art centre.
