Meredith Monk & John Hollenbeck
Singer-keyboardist-instrumentalist-composer-performer Meredith Monk (and so many others from choreographer to filmmaker), one of the most prominent American composers of contemporary, minimalist, all-around music, will perform at the House of Music with drummer John Hollenbeck in their duet Behavior.

It's an intimate evening of Monk's music performed in a way never heard before. Drawing on the Monk oeuvre, which has been expanding for over fifty years, the two performers will improvise together on the composer's well-known pieces, building on their musical dialogue. They combine Monk's pioneering vocal wizardry with Hollenbeck's inventive and masterful drumming to create new arrangements of Monk's iconic compositions.
