Rózsavölgyi Zsuzsa: Medúza
2025-02-07T19:00:00.000Z
Dance of the deep seas - with 20 dancers. Dance students from the Budapest Circus Arts and Contemporary Dance College and the Oslo National Academy of Arts bring to life pulsating choreography that explores the nature of movement and the dynamics of natural phenomena in an ever-changing environment. It proposes both change and stability, and explores how these principles manifest themselves in ecological systems.

Schedule
Through subtly coordinated group movement, a state of consciousness is created in which the ego is dissolved. The ego-self becomes the eco-self, interwoven with the rhythms of the world around it. The audience can witness the dance of the deep seas while sensing the deep connection between the human body and other life forms.
Rózsavölgyi's hypnotic choreography is completed by a composition based on the sounds of water by composer Bánk Sáry.
Medusa was first performed at Trafó in 2016, when it was nominated for the Rudolf Lábán Prize for its performance with 21 dancers.
