Schedule

With their album released last year and the surviving musicians from the legendary Wisconsin Death Trip album, Static-X is coming to Budapest. 2024 was a milestone in Static-X's resurgence that began in 2018, thanks to the release of Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 and a tour with Sevendust. The new album was named one of Loudwire's "Top 51 Rock and Metal Albums of 2024". This album is part of the 2020 Vol. 1, and includes all of Wayne Static's surviving recordings, who passed away in 2014. The new album was produced by Xer0 and mixed and mastered by Ulrich Wild. Static-X is a seminal band of the late 90s industrial/nu metal scene, formed in 1994 in Los Angeles under the leadership of vocalist/guitarist Wayne Static and drummer Ken Jay. The band's line-up was completed by bassist Tony Campos and guitarist/programmer Koichi Fukuda. They exploded onto the scene in 1999 with the platinum-selling Wisconsin Death Trip, followed by five more albums over the next decade - Machine (2001), Shadow Zone (2003), Start A War (2005), Cannibal (2007) and Cult Of Static (2009) - which sold a combined 3 million copies. In 2012, the band took a break to focus on other creative projects, and Wayne Static passed away unexpectedly on 1 November 2014. In 2018, they announced that they would reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album. Original members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay were joined on vocals by Xer0, and the tour sold out shows around the world, proving that the loyalty of Static-X fans is undiminished.

Location

Dürer Garden

Recently moved from its original location, the Dürer is a staple of Budapest's metal scene. But don't be scared, it's worth a visit even if you just want to have a couple of drinks by the Danube. From spring, of course.
