Ruff On The Beat is venturing into lesser-known waters as winter reaches its final stretch. We’re excited to introduce you to Urbi, one of the most intriguing DJs in the Hungarian Jump Up scene and a rising star of Kontakt!
Urbi made his mark on the Drum and Bass scene in 2023 when Kontakt Budapest announced a mix competition for Annix and Jade’s headline show. Not only did he win the contest, but he has since become an integral part of the laser-filled, wobbly community!
What makes Urbi even more special is that he doesn’t always take the stage alone! Last year, he was often accompanied by Rockmer as his Hypeman/MC at Turbina during the Kontakt Zone 360 events.
Now, on February 28th, under the banner of Otherside Budapest, he will be sharing the stage with one of his idols, Macky Gee!
But before that, we’ll sit down with him to find out why Tour is his favorite Macky Gee track - and, of course, how he got to where he is today!
