CocoRosie, one of the most original sounding bands of the last twenty years, will return to Hungary on their 2025 tour to present their eighth studio album, Little Death Wishes, due in spring 2025. Playing experimental pop music with an eclectic sound that mixes electronics and acoustic instruments, the Casady sisters, opera singer-trained Sierra and hip-hop influenced Bianca, signed to a new label (Joyful Noise Recordings) last year and have proven with fresh songs that they are still masters of nodding-beats-glitchy artpop.

Schedule

CocoRosie are a popular band in Hungary, the brothers' unique artpop sound has been heard live several times, but they haven't been to Hungary in over a decade, so it's great to see them enter a new phase of their career with a fresh album at the House of Music. In addition to folktronica, baroque pop and psychedelia, their songs are characterised by a masterful poeticism, timeless harmonies and seven great albums, including their 2004 debut La Maison de Mon Rêve, which was reissued last year for its 20th anniversary. These are now joined by an eighth: on Little Death Wish, Casady and his band tell a kaleidoscopic story of the generational difficulties women face and the shattered realities of their lives, and the precarious and precious nature of human existence in general. The album features Chance the Rapper and Deerhof drummer Greg Saunier. And on tour with the album, the band will be joined by a string quartet.
