Having grown up in a relatively quiet suburb of New York, Sorvina first found her voice in the world of folk singer-songwriters, a world of acoustic music and tragicomic lyricism, but as she continued her personal and artistic journey, Sorvina soon became brave enough to admit that she had always wanted to be a rapper.
