THE GIGIZ

Sexy space-grunge singer with male duet. A trio playing catchy poppy and noisy psychedelia. Two bagpipers maybe not, but two singer-guitarists can still fit quite well in a convent - nothing proves this better than the fact that after the Libertines, here at last is a new Hungarian formation with two equally charismatic frontmen leading the band. The Gigiz's answering vocals are paired with a background sound that is both irresistibly melodic and loud, sometimes shoegaze, sometimes stoner indie rock. Mostly reminiscent of early Blood Red Shoes, but the many solos and stoner elements make it energetic and a real beating rock sound. Imre Sziszák and Tibor Nagy are backed on drums by Viktor Csányi, the founder of Korai Öröm, with whom Imre has previously played in Kösz Vitya. They were joined by Tibor Nagy, the former frontman of Nyolcadikosok. Imre and Tibor's dialogue-like lyrics mix chicks and sci-fi, made memorable by sing-along melodies.

GYÁVA

The most fearless band in Eastern Europe. In its early years, Gyáva operated as a studio band with varying line-ups. Their strictly instrumental compositions, mainly in the psychedelic/kraut/post-rock vein, were centred around improvisation and the mood of the moment. Pablo Campos (KINZOisHERE), Domokos Vajda (Megtűrtek), Gábor Varsás (Shum). The band reformed as a power trio at the end of 2022, with a new sound; psychedelic jams were replaced by short, focused, precisely crafted songs, this time with vocals, references from the previous era, absurd and at the same time cutting lyrics worthy of their peculiar titles. With this new show, the band has performed successfully at many underground venues in Budapest (Auróra, Gólya, Kripta, Riff, S8), played with SlutBomb in Cincinnati and made it to the Under500 all-arts festival. Their latest album, New Objectivity 2025, was released on 9 March 2025.

CSIGA

It lives in forests, gardens and vineyards, and is particularly fond of river banks, as it prefers high humidity and lower temperatures. It is a delicacy, easy to digest, healthy and well seasoned.
